Before you acquire
Questions worth asking.
Everything a collector usually has to email to find out. If yours isn’t here, ask — we reply personally.
Is a photograph really worth this?
The unique works exist once. They are not editioned, not reprinted, and once acquired they are permanently out of circulation. Each is produced as a museum-grade framed ArtBox and certified by the artist. You are acquiring a singular object, not a copy of one.
What is an ArtBox?
The presentation standard Montero ships to galleries: the print is face-mounted to acrylic over an aluminium backing and framed as a single sealed object. No glass to reflect, no mat, nothing to reframe. It arrives ready to hang.
Is framing extra? Is shipping?
Neither. Every price includes museum framing and insured worldwide delivery. There are no add-ons at checkout.
How do the editions work?
Each editioned work is produced seven times per size, across five sizes, and every print is signed and numbered. The two unique works are one of one — they are never editioned and never reprinted.
Who is Daniel Montero?
A Colombian-born, New York–based photographer, self-taught since he was handed his father's camera at fifteen. Five works are in private collections. He exhibited at Art Basel Miami in 2025 and shows at the Marbella Art Fair from July 30, 2026, represented by Monat Gallery, Madrid.
Will the work hold its value?
We will not forecast that, and you should be wary of any gallery that does. What we can state precisely: unique works are one of one and never reprinted, editions are seven per size and signed and numbered, and every acquisition ships with provenance-certified documentation of authenticity and ownership.
Can I see a work before I buy?
Yes. A private viewing is a one-to-one call with the artist, walking the work at whatever length you want. There is no physical space to visit — the gallery is an online showroom.
What about duties and import taxes?
Prices are in US dollars and include framing and insured delivery. Outside the United States, any import duty or VAT is set by your own country and is the collector's responsibility — we confirm the expected figure with you in writing before anything ships, so nothing arrives as a surprise. Ask and we will quote it up front.
What if it arrives damaged?
Delivery is insured worldwide and included in the price. Tell us and we will make it right directly — you deal with the gallery, not a carrier.
