Montero had photographed this lighthouse before — everyone in Miami has — but not on a night when the moon came up behind it at exactly the height the tower wanted. Canon EOS R5 C, RF 50mm at f/5.6, 1/320, ISO 200. No composite, no second exposure.
It exists once. Produced as a 150 × 100 cm framed ArtBox, certified by the artist, and never editioned or reprinted — when it is acquired, it is gone.
